School District Overview
The Griswold Community School District is located in southwest Iowa serving the communities of Elliott, Grant, Griswold, Lewis, and Lyman. In August 2019, GCSD opened its doors to a new elementary addition which marked the beginning of having pre-school through 12th grade all in one central location. While the Griswold Community School District is on one campus, we have two attendance centers. Griswold Elementary serves approximately 240 students and Griswold Middle & High School serves just under 200 students.
The mission of the Griswold Community School District, in partnership with our families and communities, is to provide leadership for positive change to ensure the best learning opportunities for everyone in a safe and caring environment.
